In 2021, Plant2Plast launched a groundbreaking 100% plastic-free packaging project in collaboration with Q8. This partnership reflects the growing demand for sustainable packaging solutions and effectively promoted a plastic-free approach.
Q8 aimed to develop innovative packaging that not only aligned with current sustainability trends but was also easy to market with a clear message:

In spring 2022, Q8 Denmark A/S announced on their LinkedIn page that they had implemented 100% plastic-free packaging in their stores. At the same time, they ensured that the high customer experience remained intact with the new greaseproof paper, which was developed in close collaboration with Plant2Plast A/S and Marketsquare. This cooperation played a key role in the project’s successful implementation.

100% plastic-free packaging – a practical and climate-friendly alternative
Previously, Q8 Denmark A/S used PE-coated packaging treated with plastic to ensure durability and leak resistance. Today, they offer the same practical solutions—but now with 100% plastic-free alternatives that do not compromise on quality or functionality.
This development is a major step toward reducing the climate impact of packaging while still meeting customer demands for practical and sustainable options. The new packaging ensures that food remains convenient to take on the go—without any plastic used in production.
The packaging of the future – sustainability in focus
At Plant2Plast, we have helped ensure that the majority of Q8’s food-related packaging is now plastic-free. We continue to work on replacing and upgrading the remaining packaging products to ensure all solutions will be entirely plastic-free in the future.
